Bromley is a large suburban area situated south-east of London. Historically a market town, it’s now a vibrant, lively area with plenty of open green spaces.

What amenities does Bromley have?

Bromley North Village’s regeneration has created a bustling centre, with lots of local, independent shops, pubs, and cafes. Alongside these, the High Street consists of well known national retail and supermarket brands, barbers, hair salons, jewellers and banks.

Bromley is a popular area among families with a variety of well-performing primary and secondary schools. Several have an Ofsted rating of Outstanding including Burnt Ash Primary school and Bishop Justus CofE School.

What’s there to do in Bromley?

Bromley benefits from fantastic green spaces including Church House Gardens, Queensmead Recreation Ground and Beckenham Place Park. All of the large open spaces are great for outdoor walks and activities. You can also find park fitness classes and an athletics track at Norman Park.

The Glades is a large shopping centre in the middle of Bromley with over 130 stores and services. Find big brands like Apple, M&S and Boots, there’ll be a shop to suit your retail need. Spanning over two floors there are also food places and cafes for a shopping break.

From fine dining restaurants to casual eateries, there are plenty of cuisines to choose from in Bromley. There are plenty of takeaways available too if you don’t fancy eating out. Not forgetting drinks, there is a large choice of bars to enjoy a cocktail or two in the centre of Bromley.

What travel links are there?

Bromley is very well situated for commuters with easy, convenient access to London. There are two train stations, Bromley North and Bromley South, serving frequent trains to London Victoria, Brixton and Luton. There are also bus links that serve the local area as well as surrounding towns such as Orpington and Beckenham.
